Coup de Cœur Event
Join us on Thursday, March 15 for the Jeunesses Musicales Canada Foundation’s (JMCF) third Coup de Cœur Event at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts at 6:30 p.m.
This year, violinist James Ehnes will be the star of the intimate soirée. Since he first began touring with Jeunesses Musicales Canada, James Ehnes has led a brilliant career, performing in over 35 countries around the world and appearing in the greatest concert halls alongside the most celebrated conductors. His discography comprises more than 40 recordings and has earned him several awards, including one Grammy and 11 Junos. The concert will be followed by a gourmet dinner served in the Hall of Bronzes, in the company of the musician.
This event will also be an opportunity to witness the presentation of the André Bourbeau Mentorship Prize. This award recognizes the excellence of an emerging artist by giving him or her the chance to be personally mentored by the Coup de Coeur musician.
The Coup de Cœur Event is one of the largest fundraising activities organized by the Foundation, whose mission is to financially support Jeunesses Musicales Canada’s activities. Each year, the JMCF helps produce four to seven shows for the general public, including an opera, and over forty productions for young audiences. Jeunesses Musicales Canada aims to promote the diffusion of classical music and support the career development of emerging musicians.
